📌 Role Overview

Microsoft’s Azure Storage team is hiring a Software Engineer to work on one of the world’s largest and most distributed file systems. You'll work on hyperscale storage services, solving complex problems in storage, memory, networking, and distributed systems.

🛠 Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for Azure’s storage infrastructure.
Break down large features into smaller deliverables and work in agile cycles.
Be a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), handling on-call and system issue resolution.
Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
Collaborate with other engineers and teams while embodying Microsoft values.

🎓 Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in one or more languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Must pass Microsoft’s Cloud Background Check process.

Preferred:

Master's degree or 1+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience with distributed systems or scalable backend infrastructure.
